Aaron Rodgers has landed in Florham Park, NJ

If the official news surrounding the Aaron Rodgers trade wasn’t enough for New York Jets fans to believe reality, perhaps a video will do the trick. (Although, I have a sneaking suspicion not even a video will convince some Jets fans that this has actually happened.)

On Wednesday morning, Jets Chairman Woody Johnson dropped the video every Jets fan has been aching to see for several weeks:

Rodgers, 39, arrived in Florham Park, NJ, donning an official black Jets hoodie accompanied by plenty of smiles. There to greet him was the entire brigade: Woody Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Robert Saleh, Joe Douglas, Nathaniel Hackett, and Hymie Elhai.

Wednesday is the official introduction day, as Rodgers and the Jets regime will meet with the media at some point in the early afternoon.

Of course, the trade that everybody knew would go down, finally came to fruition on Monday, when the Jets and Green Bay Packers agreed upon the desired trade compensation that would allow the future Hall of Fame quarterback to head east.

New York sent the No. 13 overall pick (Round 1), No. 42 (Round 2), No. 207 (Round 6), and a conditional 2024 second-round pick that will turn into a first if Rodgers plays more than 65% of the snaps in 2023, in exchange for the quarterback himself, the No. 15 pick (Round 1), and the No. 170 pick (Round 5) this year.

The two sides had been locked in a heated trade negotiation that ensued after Rodgers told the football world that his intentions are to play for the New York Jets, on the wildly popular “Pat McAfee Show.”

Rodgers will wear his old college (California) number, No. 8, whereas New York Jets fans still cannot believe what is staring them straight in the face.

Hopefully, Woody’s video will ease such a startling transition for a fanbase desperately searching for a postseason berth.
