Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase putting in some extra work after practice was one of the notable big talking points after the first OTAs session for the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of May.
It’s again a fun talking point in early June after Tuesday’s session.
According to The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr., the former LSU teammates stayed after OTAs and did extra work again, at one point working on a familiar-feeling double move that fans are sure to see next season.
This comes on the heels of Zac Taylor saying he likes what he sees from Burrow’s deep ball so far. Bengals weapons have already said Burrow has more power behind his throws this summer, too.
From what we’ve been able to glean before training camps even start, it sure sounds like Chase and Burrow are doing everything they can to rekindle that relationship that created a historic 2019 season.
One lasting image for me from today will be Joe Burrow making a few extra throws with Ja’Marr Chase after practice ended and one of those being a gorgeous double move over the top that was eerily reminiscent of the highlights that played on repeat during draft season.
