Emmanuel Acho: Julio Jones makes Titans a Super Bowl contender2 min read
While there are some out there who believe the Tennessee Titans adding Julio Jones doesn’t move the needle all that much, former NFL linebacker and FS1 analyst Emmanuel Acho sees things differently.
Acho believes that Jones gives the Titans arguably the most potent offense in the NFL, and makes them a legit Super Bowl contender in 2021 because of how much he elevates them.
He rightly points to the matchup problems a lineup consisting of Jones, A.J. Brown and Derrick Henry presents, and believes that trio might make Tennessee’s group even more dangerous than the Kansas City Chiefs’.
We’d also add that having Jones now gives the Titans a passing attack they can lean on when Henry isn’t running wild. Tennessee’s inability to do so the past two years was a big reason why they were bounced from the playoffs.

Acho isn’t the only one who is bullish on the Titans now that Jones is in the mix.
Yahoo senior NFL reporter Charles Robinson told ESPN 102.5 The Game in Nashville that he believes the Titans are now the No. 2 team in the AFC, just behind the Chiefs and ahead of the Buffalo Bills.
. @CharlesRobinson when asked for his Top 5 AFC teams for 2021: “I feel pretty comfortable putting Tennessee at No. 2 behind Kansas City.” Says the Julio acquisition puts #Titans over Bills at 2.

Interestingly enough, the Titans will face both Kansas City (Week 7) and Buffalo (Week 6) in 2021 in two contests that will take place at Nissan Stadium.
After the Titans take on those two elite opponents, we’ll have a better idea of just how right Acho and Robinson are.
