Twyman expects to be “110%” after shooting incident

The people responsible are still at large

After being shot in a scary incident in his hometown of Washington, D.C. on Monday, Minnesota Vikings’ rookie defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman is optimistic about his recovery and expects to be full go when the Vikings start Training Camp in about a month.

According to FOX 9 in the Twin Cities, Twyman has declared that he will be at “110%” after being shot four times. He is still in a D.C. hospital but is reportedly only is bandages and gauze following the incident.

Well, and one of those hospital gown things, too, I’d assume. It would get really awkward otherwise, I would think.

Twyman had gone to pick up a friend so that they could go to dinner on Monday and was in his vehicle when the shooting began. He blacked out when he was in the vehicle and did not get a good look at the car that the shooters fired from. A picture of the vehicle is available at the FOX 9 link above, and the shooters are still at large.

Twyman is a native of the D.C. area and was in town to visit his aunt this past week. Three other individuals were shot during the incident, but all of them are expected to fully recover as well.

Thank goodness that the news is good for Twyman and everyone else involved in the incident. With Twyman well on the road to recovery, hopefully he can focus on getting ready for camp and his efforts to make the Vikings’ roster for 2021.
